Dun-Dun-DUN!
I had my first dress fitting today, and thankfully it has made me a lot more optimistic that my dress may actually be sort of flattering when it actually fits me. Of course, I still want to lose about 15 pounds in the next five months or so (please tell me that is not impossible), but I think my seamstress will be capable, and since I will see the preliminary results about a month from now, if she has completely screwed it up, I will still have time to take the dress elsewhere before June.
(Let's pause here for a brief moment to pray that my dress is not returned to me in shreds or too small to fit.)
In other wedding-related news, my fiance has actually begun to think about the groomsmen attire, and so that he can find a matching tie, I am searching for a blue sash to go with my dress. I will probably go with this one, from the same company that I bought my dress from. (That's right -- I'm an eBay bride!)
I'm also looking for a country-looking egg basket like this one, which I love, but I'm going to search on eBay for some comparable ones that don't cost as much. So far I'm having some good luck.
