Seeing colors

I like several Badgley Mischka Bridesmaid dresses. The thing is...they don't come in any "bridely" colors and they cost as much or more than a lot of wedding dresses out there. Would it be horrible if I didn't wear some sort of white/ivory? Yellow is happy, right?

This is my favorite.

I think a non-bridal dress is perfect for three reasons:

1. You can still wear it for an elopement, if that's what you end up doing, without looking like a total jackass.

2. You can wear it for a regular wedding without looking like a total jackass (in fact, you will look unique and classy, I think).

3. You can wear it some other time to some other event (assuming you can still fit in it, of course) without looking like you're wearing a wedding gown.

Plus, I think that yellow-ish gold color would be very flattering with your skintone and there is no law that a bride must wear white. I was thinking of wearing pink for a while...
